I cut a path through the undead horde and reached Doriyan. "Hey buddy... Yah! Long time no see!" he said, still fighting.
"I was hoping for... Whoa! ...a warm reception... Ah! ...but you went too far!" We spent at least ten straight minutes decapitating and mauling the bloodthirsty swarm, until the ones that showed some kind of intelligence fled screaming.

We thought the battle was over, so we breathed a sigh of relief... until the ground began trembling. Suddenly, some kind of giant, freakish centipede burst out of the street and nearly swallowed me whole! "Well, that's a real punch to the crotch," Doriyan muttered.
"Don't worry! Let me show you a trick I learned!" I replied.
I lept up onto a street light and threw my knives at the creature's head. I then focused my chakras on the lamp and began drawing current from it. "The Spirit of Lightning's fury, which offers my body protection, lend me your power and unleash your wrath!" I chanted. "Shoxx-Style strike! Gigavolt Chain Lightning!" I threw my sparking glaive like a spear and as it got lodged in the monster's throat, bolts of electricity continually lept from knife to knife. "Can I get a 'hell yeah'?" I shouted as it fell to the ground, twitching and smoking.

Then, it got back up, merely stunned. As the leviathan reared up and roared in rage, the air suddenly got very cold. A pale blue-and-white streak of light struck our enemy and apparently froze it solid. "Now's our chance, Claive!" Doriyan shouted. A simultaneous flying roundhouse kick from me and a jumping overhead slash from him shattered the beast into a million frosty chunks. "I don't mean to sound ungrateful," I said, "but what the crap was that?" I turned around and saw a girl who looked more feline than human gliding to us on a pair of white, angel-like wings coming out of the back of a metal breastplate she wore. When she landed, her wings dissolved into glittering powder, and in a tiny voice, she simply said "Um... Hi."
