After a good long rest, I got up, stretched my stiff muscles, and decided to get dressed. The clothes I was wearing before were in a rumpled heap in the corner, so I rifled through it to see what was still wearable. "Hm. Everything is either fubar, crusted in blood, or both." I dug out the blue and black adamantine mesh cape Shayra got me a few years ago and shook it. "Aside from you, my seemingly invulnerable friend. You're just a smidge dirty." I scratched the remaining blood off and threw it on my bed. Then, I walked over to my dresser and found an old, yellow jersey emblazened with a black Volt Driver icon and a pair of black denim shorts and put them on. "Well, a bit snug on the chest and hips, but they'll do."

I walked out into the living room. "Hey guys." I said. "How long have I been out?"
"Another day and a half." Doriyan replied.
"Good news is, lycanthropy has a three day alignment period. You should be fine now." Shayra told me. I flopped down on the couch next to her. "Well, what do we do now?" Doriyan asked.
"In all honesty," Shayra said, "I think we need to get our butts out of here."
"And hand my homeland over to some extradimensional douchebag? Forget it!" Doriyan exclaimed.
"I know where you're coming from, but what have we got that every other world didn't?" she replied. Doriyan didn't have anything to say, nor did I. Chai spoke up, "Time. We know about the lord of Nessus, and if we could get the resources..."
"We could lure him out and set a trap!" I finished. Doriyan and I looked at her, and we simultaneously shouted "Brilliant!"
"You know, it might just work! Great idea, fuzzball!" Shayra said happily, slapping Chai on the back.
"Okay," I said, "we've got some planning to do."
