My life is like this: Has rich parents that are almost never home. He was born a genius, his strongest fields being sociology and engineering. Robotics is an expensive hobby, however, and his parents have become increasingly stingy with his allowance... His left ear has part of the top cut off, and Devin has never told anyone the truth of how it happened. Rumors have ranged everywhere from abusive parents, an accident while making his robots, and even bullies at school (which he hated going to, and is glad to be out of high school).
I act like this: Devin thinks that there is no real such thing as good or evil; just people who's emotions won't allow them to hurt others, and people who's emotions don't get in the way. He is one of the latter. He's decided that people are just no good without a leader, and who better for the job than him? During some reading, he found out about the guardians, and concluded that they would do anything to stop him from realizing his goals. Depending on his mood (or the situation), he will either act like a normal, everyday kid, or an absolutely lunatic, just to mess with people.
