Convicted not Condemned,
Corrected, not Hated,
Taught, not Given up on,
Afflicted, not Crushed,
Persecuted and mocked, not Forgotten,
Made Holy, not Perfect,
Forgiven not without Sin,
Pure in Christ, not Innocent without the Blood,
Knocked down, not Destroyed,
Thrown down, not Broken,
Spiritually terrorized not Abandoned,
Lifted up, not Looked down upon,
Strength renewed, not Fallen down,
Tortured not Left for dead,
Healed, not Without scars,
Filled with joy, not Without despair,
Filled with peace, not Without chaos and drama,
Accepted not Rejected,
Adopted not Earned,
Given Grace, not Without hope,
Loved, not Ignored,
Comforted, not without trials,
Saved, not Eternal suffering,
Redeemed, not Good enough,
Surrounded by death, not Crushed beneath,
Battered and scarred not Torn apart,
Touched by life, not Dead to Transgressions,
Led by a Savior, not a Person,
Filled with light, not Darkness,
Hard driven, not Filled with Despair,
Pursed relentlessly, not Deserted,
Suffered, not Demoralized,
We go through all these things so Christ can shine His light through us,
No matter what we go through God is always with us,
He never left us,
Let this be a reminder of God's grace,
Who He is and what He's done.
8 We are pressed on every side by troubles, but we are not crushed. We are perplexed, but not driven to despair. 9 We are hunted down, but never abandoned by God. We get knocked down, but we are not destroyed. 10 Through suffering, our bodies continue to share in the death of Jesus so that the life of Jesus may also be seen in our bodies.
11 Yes, we live under constant danger of death because we serve Jesus, so that the life of Jesus will be evident in our dying bodies. 12 So we live in the face of death, but this has resulted in eternal life for you.
