this was my daily devo for today that i thought might inspire those who might read my journal^^
Playing life's games to the fullest requires taking risks. Without risk, life has little emotion, little that can be counted as exhilarating or fulfilling.
-To laugh is to risk appearing the fool.
-To weep is to risk appearing sentimental.
-To reach out for another is to risk involvement.
-To expose feelings is to risk exposing one's true self.
-To place ideas and dreams before a crowd is to risk ridicule.
-To love is to risk not being loved in return.
-To live is to risk dying.
-To hope is to risk despair.
-To try is to risk failure.
Yet the person who risks nothing, has nothing, and ultimately becomes nothing.
