Today, my dad came to a realization in my taekwondo career.

See, the belt I'm at now is blue, with a red stripe. We call it a 'red stripe'.

This year I've been sparring girls with red belts, with a black stripe ( One test off from black belt). We call it 'black stripe'.

My dad looked at the testing requirements on the wall at our dojang. It's colour-coded. The one that I'm on is 'blue stripe one'. That would explain why I'm fighting almost-black-belts; because I'm supposedly one of them, too. But looking at tournaments on the internet, they say I'm a 'red stripe'.

So what am I?
