How are you. Does it mean anything?
How are you? Does it mean anything or is it just another phrase that everyone uses? This passage will hopefully decode this question. My grandfather once told me that "How are you?" means nothing. It's just one of those things that everyone says. When they say it, they don't mean it. It's human nature for people to copy and repeat words that they hear everyone say. Even infants and toddlers can pick up on this. Is that why everyone says "How are you?" Or do they really mean it. Sadly, this question cannot be answered. It's another thing to wonder about.
