She curls up to a tree watching her breath rise in front of her face. Her arms around her knees and the crumple off fallen leaves on the ground. Tears streaking her face, and the sound of sirens drowning out any thoughts. There is hardly any breath in her, she notices as she sobs pathetically and the sound of sirens blares louder. The tortured and over-worked green car smashed between two trees, windows shattered. The car was ruined beyond repair.
The back door opens, and limply he walks out holding his stomach and dragging his feet sluggishly as he joins her side. Dirt swirling around the headlights of the helpless car on an intersection on a dirt road. An ambulance pulls up. Panicked voices of police and nurses were drowned by the sirens, and the two sitting next to the tree are just about to slip away.
"These two need medical attention!" the closest voice shouts, but the two were already nearing death.
"Your bleeding...." was all the girl curled up could manage, before a sharp pain stabbed her side. The boy looked up, his face glowing white in the moonlight that was occasionally red due to the ambulance's light, he smiled.
"No, i'm okay." he mutters resting his head on the girl's shoulder. Voices rush around them, edgy and worried. Sweat trickled the boys forehead, " Don't go." he slurred. And he was out.
When her eyes were open, light flooded in, and she shut her eyes in shock.
Slowly she opened her eyes again, adjusting to the brightness of everything.
Panic and fear attacked her.
Where am I? she screamed in her head.
"Ah, your awake Ms. Akami." a warm friendly male voice called.
Akami sat up and she knew where she was.
Hospital.
