Chapter 7
Virgo ran down the narrow dimly lit dungeon glancing behind him. Taurus walked after him grinning smugly. Virgo spun around punching the air with his open palmed fist. Taurus stopped moving the blast of air hitting him head on but not making him back off.
Virgo gritted his teeth and started running again. He swung his arm back throwing the rocks strewn on the ground at the brute. That still didn’t detour him. Virgo started running faster looking around for anything he could use.
Virgo’s powers let him use the elements as his weapon. The air, water, earth, and fire were all at his command. The only problem was that he couldn’t summon them out of nothing. They had to be there for him to control.
The state of what he controlled also made a difference. If the air or water wasn’t clean its power would be diminished greatly. Like now for instance. What he truly needed was fire. An undiminishable source of power. With a single flame he could wreak terrible damage on him with that. Unfortunately Taurus knew that and made it a point to destroy every torch they went past.
Virgo looked back and saw that Taurus had lowered his head and was stamping the ground. He was about to charge. Virgo skipped back raising both his hands the stone in the ground shooting up creating three walls with increasing thickness. He didn’t wait to see if it would hold as he dashed for the torch flickering in the distance.
He got halfway there and flinched as Taurus broke through the first wall and the second. He redoubled his pace to get to the torch faster. The third wall fell and Virgo tripped over a crack in the ground. He groaned rolling over starting as he saw the bull standing over him.
“That was a good plan” he said laughing. “But you underestimated my strength and overestimated yours” He rose his fist preparing to strike. “This is the end Virgo!”
Stone and dust flew everywhere as his fist hit the ground. Virgo looked at the fist startled then up at Libra as she dragged him away. He stumbled to his feet taking Libra with him. “I told you to run” he said to her panting deeply.
“If I had, you would not have this would you” she said placing the barely lit piece of timber in his hands.
He smiled then turned back to Taurus. “Done running?” he asked cracking his neck. Virgo smiled his eyes glowing brighter.
“No. I’m just ready to end it” he said the fire growing and surrounding him like a flaming snake. He pointed his hand at Taurus and faster then the blink of an eye he was set a flame the inferno engulfing the entire corridor. The flames subsided soon and Virgo sank to his knees panting at the effort it took.
He looked up and his eyes widened. Taurus was still standing abet hurt but still able to fight. He tried to stand but shook with the effort. Libra stood next to him as Taurus approached again. “Libra go. You can escape” he pleaded but she shook her head and placed both hands against his head.
“Balance Libra” she whispered and Virgo felt energy pour into him. It wasn’t the same as being 100% but it was good enough to do what he need to. That was her power. Scales were all about balance and that was what she did to someone’s energy. She gave or took away someone else’s energy until both hers and theirs was equal. In that moment she was giving her energy to Virgo.
Libra collapsed by his side and he laid her down next to him glaring at him. Taurus laughed crouching.
“Round Two”

Gemini and Capricorn reached the end of the corridor after checking every cell. Gemini got close to the last one hoping to find her. But when he opened up the last cell she was no where to be found. Defeat and hopelessness overcame him almost instantly.
They had come this far for almost nothing. They risked their lives instead of leaving and had nothing to show for it. He walked out of the cell shaking his head. Capricorn gave his shoulder a squeeze the two of them started to head back.
They both stopped and turned soft footsteps echoing behind them. The figure was a garbed in white and black his hair a bright blue that loosely came down to his chin, the same shade as his eyes. “Hey there Gem” Cancer said smiling. “Been awhile hasn’t it”
Gemini was rooted to the spot. He was stunned. Standing in front of him was the cause of the war and his best friend. Anger was boiling in his blood and everything was telling him to attack now. “I see you came looking for our old friends. Unfortunately you were too late for Aqua”
At that he snapped and dashed at him sword drawn splitting as he ran. “Cancer!!!!” they both shouted their swords clashing against his. Cancer raised his sword pushing them both back grinning. His blade looked like a sword had been split down the middle and parted slightly. He shoved them back and the twins ran at him again lunging and thrusting their blades together despite being in the small space.
Cancer rotated around slowly blocking every strike easily an adrenaline fueled smile on his face. “Excellent Gemini. You haven’t lost your touch one bit”
The twins fell back fusing together again standing by Capricorn. They shared a glance and a nod before they both ran charging together. Capricorn kicked his armored foot out and Cancer stepped to the side bringing his sword down to deflect Gemini.
Gemini spun around splitting his swords apart slashing at his neck. Cancer blocked it again hooking it in his sword and throwing Gemini into the air kicking Capricorn after him. Before they could react he lunged after them sword glowing.

Leo panted staring up at Aries. He was sitting on the balcony his spear in his hand gashes in the wood. He was bruised and beat up but no where near as badly as Leo. She had several cuts on her midsection and her sword arm. Her eyes were still glowing gold as she panted and gripped her sword again.
“Let’s go Aries” she snarled. She paused listening then using what was left of her strength leaped back as the ground below them exploded outward rock and stone flying every where. Leo covered her face blocking the debris trying to find out what had happened.
She blinked in shock as she watched Cancer emerge from the hole and stand by Aries. “Lord Cancer. I apologize for my lack of being able to defeat Leo on my”
Cancer smiled shaking his head. “It’s alright Aries. Thanks to that I was able to enjoy some time catching up with our friends”
Gemini and Capricorn stood at Leo’s side panting beat up but still able to fight. Leo exchanged a glance with Gemini and he nodded. “He’s strong Leo. I couldn’t even scratch him and he never once used his power. This might be it” he said with a small laugh.
“It was nice knowing you two” Capricorn said chuckling taking up his fighting stance again eyes determined to win or die.
“Wish I could say the same” Leo muttered readying her claymore.
“Hey come on Leo” Shiro said lining his blade against his arm.
“You know you liked the training we” Kuro spun his blade around pressing his back against Shiro’s. Leo laughed.
“I guess I did” she replied. “But let’s stop all this talking. Let’s go!” She roared charging at them. The others followed her lead crashing against them like two forces of nature.
