Kaito had died at the tender age of seven when he was alive. Placed into the 75th District of the North Rukongai, Kaito grew up in a ‘kill or be killed’ environment which may have been the start of his true personality. As he struggled to survive, even killing to survive, Kaito came to his own realization that “Everything is a lie.” If this was supposed to be Heaven (according to the shinigami that performed the Konso), then why did it seem more like Hell? Kaito decided there was only one truth, and he going to show it to everyone: Despair. Simple murder for necessities turned into an obsession for murder and torture. As he continued moving from district to district looking for victim’s, Kaito’s mind started to become more twisted. He was looking for a challenge; something to kill that would give him excitement. The challenge was presented in trying not to get caught by the authorities. In order to do this, Kaito created his fake personality. A façade that he would use to divert suspicion away from him, and it worked. So well that during a regular shinigami patrol, he was found to have enough reiatsu to be granted admittance into the academy.

Taking his chance at the possibility of a new challenge, Kaito entered the academy and began his training. Hailed as a prodigy at the age of 15, Kaito graduated early three years later. His was given assignment to the 12th Division for his intelligence and sharp, cunning mind. As Kaito studied under the 12th Division, he decided that he was the embodiment of the Seven Deadly Sins and the Three Twisted Emotions that gave birth to them (Despair, Pleasure, and Rage). Over the years, Kaito rose to the position as Lieutenant of the Division. By then, Kaito had set for himself his ultimate challenge. He would set out to destroy the barriers that separated each world, so that all worlds would collide with each other and be destroyed creating a vacuum. The vacuum that would be created would produce a massive energy output due to the amount of matter being consumed. Kaito’s plan is to build a device capable of harnessing that energy towards creating a portal to the past; where he’ll travel to the beginning of time and become God himself and create the world in his image.

Kaito will use anyone to help him further reach his goal. Once they outlive their purpose, he’ll simply kill them.

~Personality~

Kaito’s true personality is kept hidden from everyone who doesn’t know what he’s up to. He hides behind a façade of being a relatively nice guy. Sure he’s a jerk in that he’ll you like a kid if you’re younger than him or he’ll give you an annoying nick-name, but overall he appears to be nice despite his eerie smile. In this façade, Kaito appears to be carefree and forgiving.

Kaito’s true personality however can be described as one word: twisted. Kaito has a “God complex.” Not that he believes he is God, but that he believes he’s unstoppable and so are his plans. His sadistic nature drives him to bring harm unto others and ruin people’s lives. Occasionally on trips to earth, Kaito will murder innocents for the fun of it, or even place victims into dangerous predicaments and watch them suffer. His favorite form of torture is strangulation. If Kaito’s sadistic nature isn’t appeased every so often, he’ll sneak around at night for either a shinigami or civilian to easily kill in Soul Society. So far, Kaito has kept his tracks well-hidden and the truth about him remains unknown. He is as smart and cunning as he is insane (which is a lot if you couldn’t tell). He seems to have a minor obsession with snakes.

#66 Twin Lotus Blue Fire, Crash Down – Essentially a doubled version of 33, this spell fires two shots of blue fire with greater potency than the single-shot variety.
#90 Black Coffin – Forms a box of black energy around a target, which is then pierced by dozens of energy “spears”, lacerating the one inside from head to toe.





Zanpakuto name: Shitto (Envy)

Shikai: “Bring forth your Endless Despair, Shitto”
When shikai is released, Shitto melts into a metal orb. As it turns out, Shitto is liquid metal and is capable of turning itself into and weapon or object (that can be held). Kaito’s favorite weapons to manifest are butterfly knives. This ability has a small amount of drawbacks. Shitto cannot change forms when clashing with an enemy's weapon and is restricted to bladed weapons only (daggers, knives, and swords).

Shikai Technique 1: “Devouring Darkness” – Shitto transforms back into its liquid form where it gathers dark energy into itself and releases it outwards in the form of a black sphere (roughly three feet in diameter) at their target. If the sphere meets with an energy attack of some sort, it absorbs the energy and doubles it size slamming into the target (if it hits) with double the force it would normally deal.

Shikai Technique 2: “Art of Thievery” – “What Envy wants; Envy gets.” Using this technique, Envy can copy any shikai that it sees. However, even though it also gains the abilities of that shikai, it cannot use that stolen shikai’s techniques and it is one-third less powerful than the original. This technique also does not work on Bankai or an Arrancar’s Ressurecion. This technique can only copy one shikai and its abilities one at a time. In order to copy another shikai, Shitto has to be reverted back to its original state (liquid metal orb) before using the technique again. Kaito has never showed anyone this technique of his shikai, knowing full well the unwanted attention it’ll give him.

Bankai: “Corruption of Mind and Soul”

This is another one of Kaito's closely guarded secrets. Being only a humble Lieutenant, Bankai is not something he'd like people to have public knowledge of.
Kaito and Shitto bond creating the form seen above. Aside from the obvious (increased speed, strength, etc.), Kaito now gains two abilities. The first is to be able manipulate his reiatsu into any shape or form. This reiatsu can affect a person physically. Using this ability drains him of the used reiatsu. His second ability is to be able to leech reiatsu from others when making physical contact with them. Being in close proximity does not count; it has to be touching the target.

Bankai Technique 1: “Thousand Souls” – Any target within a three-foot radius is launched and trapped in the air by mulitple chains from below them. From below that, a thousand heads (from Shitto's spirit form) appear and launch into the air weaving around each other to form one large version of Shitto's head that then strikes down on the trapped individuals for a massive amount of damage. Only Kaito and those caught in this technique can see what happens. Kaito is only capable of using this attack once each time he uses bankai.

Bankai Technique 2: “The Green Monster” – Kaito gathers his reiatsu outside of his body and condenses it into a small orb. He then takes this orb and swallows it. A couple seconds later, he fires a beam from his mouth straight into the sky which then explodes. The result is a rain of energy beams that pierce into just about anything within a mile radius. The only things capable of stopping this assault are high level barriers (higher than #50) as well as any abilities capable of creating a shield withstanding a cero.
It is possible for a master of shunpo, or a captain-level character with an ability similar to shunpo to escape the radius before the attack starts to rain down. The beams themselves are one inch in diameter, and it is very difficult to dodge the barrage of beams, but it is very possible to survive this attack. Kaito cannot use this attack consecutively as well.

Zanpakutou Spirit:



Shitto, as its name means, is Envy incarnate. Helping its master to get what he wants, it also aides him when something gets in their path from their wants. "What Envy wants; Envy gets." Envy, being classified as the most dangerous of the Deadly Sins, is born from the Twisted Emotion Rage. It is easily angered, especially when it does not get what it wants, and is very snake-like. It is manipulative, sneaky, and cunning. It weaves webs of deception to articulate its master plan.

Weapons:
Despite having a zanpakuto, Kaito enjoys carrying around two regular butterfly knives that occasionally uses on his victims.
