Last night, April 10th 2010, was Charles Prom.
I waited till the last moment to do everything. I got myself done in time though. I bleached all my hair for the first time. My mom tried to get all the brown in my hair, but it has to go through stages in the bleach so now there are some parts of my hair that are light red and orange. It looks kinda cool actually! I wore some makeup and lip gloss. A dress with designs that are red silver and black. With a black necklace I got last year. I wore some heel shoes with two straps on the top foot part. My mom polished my nails black too.
While I was getting ready, Charles was too. He had a striped blue suite with a red and silver tie. And he wore a red long sleeve under the top. He lost his glasses so he wore these black framed yellow lens glasses. He has a light mustache and a slight goatee which makes him look mature and handsome. lol.
We were both ready just in time. Prom started at 7pm and we got there at like 7:30pm. We weren't too late.
Charles really liked my hair. He says the light red makes it look like strawberry. So I'm happy because I want to look different and wanted him to like it and he did!
We got to the prom and waited a while in line. When we first walked in Coconut Joe's, we saw Lacey, Charles friend, all by herself and she told us that her date stood her up. She had no one else to be with so we were there for her and she seemed like she had a lot of fun. They had food and slush drinks which was good. The food was Chicken, tri-tip, bread, salad, and beans. It tasted good together. Charles bought me and him a slush drink, mine was strawberry pinacolada, and I don't know what his was. But they were so good and they even had little umbrellas with a cherry!
We danced for like 20 minutes because it was crowded and no room for so many people on such a small dance floor. About 9:45pm Charles and me left early and walked to the dollar show across the street. On the walk there, Charles stopped me under a parking lot light and started slow dancing with me. He said that tonight was just about us and no one else. That was romantic. He held me close while we danced slowly to music in our head.
After we danced, we walked to the movies and there was nothing playing so we walked across the street again to Barnes and Noble book store. The guy that worked there asked why the heck we were dressed like we were for a book store. lol. Charles told him we came from prom. So Charles and I go straight to Manga and look around. He got a number 3 of Ottoman, a book I one time randomly chose, he read it and now he loves it. lol. He also got Tsubasa those with wings. My mom came and picked us up from there and we headed home. On the way we seen cop cars and a car flipped upside down. And they were kids and a girl was in her prom dress. I hope that no one was hurt.
Overall, I had fun with Charles and it was nice to go on a date like that. I love you Charles!!! Just 9 more days till our 3rd year of being together!!! heart
