See this movie. Hands down, the best thriller to come out of northeastern Europe since Let the Right One In. The film is dark and a little bit noir but edgy and sometimes uncomfortably gritty. Blomkvist, a reporter convicted of libel, has six months to solve a missing girl cold case that spans over 50 years for the rich and secretive Vanger family. Lisbeth, the hacker hired to run an in-dept background on Blomkvist, takes a personal interest in what she's seeing while remoting into Blomkvist's Macbook Pro. After fighting her own dark battle with her parole officer, Lisbeth and Blomkvist launch on a crazy-breathless broken trail of clues, gruesome murders, and encroaching danger. And the best part is that both sequels with the same actors are already released in Europe! I was on the edge of my seat the whole time and you will be too.
