Pasta Zanmai
I have found the photos! They're terribly blur though... Taken at Pasta Zanmai, a newish Japanese Western restaurant. The main restaurant chain is the famous Sushi Zanmai, which serves regular Japanese food, and is certainly more popular.
But I rather like this restaurant, though the dishes are on the pricey side. The ambiance's casual, and the cutlery and plates are all so pretty! And the food is well, interesting, to say the least!
Green tea, lovely tea sets they have there.
Sashimi, of a sort.
Grilled hotate, or scallops, with a sweet teriyaki glaze.
Pizza, but with slices of mochi, This was rather good, the mochi was all melted and sticky, quite like the cheese.
Spaghetti! With roasted sesame sauce, though it's barely visible... I don't know what that fried leaf is, burdock maybe?
Suribachi for grinding sesame seeds. Don't have a photo of the ground sesame on the spaghetti though.
And for dessert, wafers filled with vanilla ice cream, with chocolate too.
And also crepes, with matcha ice cream topped with azuki paste. These were a little on the sweet side.
Interesting, aren't they?
