Alright, I am sure that most of you who bothered to click on this little forum post are curious as to what I need an opinion on. Well, to put it bluntly, I have reason to believe that Justin Bieber's song "First Dance" is actually secretly, subliminally, metaphorically (take your pick), a song about losing one's virginity. Now for you Gaians out there who are fans of the Biebs, this topic is not meant to be some negative jab at him. It's something I randomly thought of and I would just like some other opinions on the matter. I've already gotten one opinion from one of my sister's "friends" and the chick blew a gasket and was getting pissed at me when all I did was state my opinion and actually put forth evidence to back it up~ So, I wanna hear what you think Gaia.
My evidence:
1. Prom, stereotypically speaking, is usually the night that two people decided to give it up to each other.
--- The Biebs reference "...I see me and you at the prom" Wanted to point that out since that same chick from up there^ who blew a gasket said that the first dance could be something other than Prom like Homecoming. Dearie, he clearly says "Prom" in the damn song.
2. He says/sings "Girl I promise I'll be gentle/ I know we gotta do it slowly" Okay, HOW DOES ONE DANCE GENTLY? I do not understand. No one has been able to explain it to me as yet so I will use it to fuel my little opinion. USUALLY. Stereotypically speaking blahblahblah, doing it for the first time is or losing ones' innocence is something that people consider a "gentle" and "slow" thing.
3. My next piece of evidence would be giving something as important and special as your first time to someone is something that you really can't undo once it happens. It's considered something special. I now direct your attention to the Biebs:
--- The Biebs reference "If you give, give the first dance to me/ I'm gonna' cherish every moment/ 'Cuz it only happens once, once in a lifetime"
It only happens once in a lifetime
4. As I said before this (I think) is about losing ones' innocence during Prom. Prom being an event for teens and such. Now, what teenager would want their parents to know that they were doing something like that? I'm pretty sure no teenager would. I direct your attention once again to the Biebs reference:
--- The Biebs reference "I'm telling you our parents will never know" True in the actual context of the song he refers to their parents not knowing that they were "dancing close" but seriously? Is that really something that you wouldn't want your parents to know? Nahs. I'm still leaning towards the whole you didn't want them to know that you had secks at prom thing.
Well that concludes my little detective rant. Now I would like your opinion Gaia~ One person has already made it very clear that I just have a "dirty mind" and whatever else. But this is a legit opinion. Maybe I'm over-analytical I don't know-- I would just like a few open minded comments and opinions on my own opinion. Do you think I'm right, do you think I'm wrong, do you think I have too much time on my hands to even come up with such a conclusion and have evidence to back it all up (oh yeah it's totally this one xP)? Honestly, I am not a fan of the Biebs, but I respect him as an artist (just like how I respect all artists) and I can actually stand this song of his (First Dance I mean). So I would like to hear your verdict Gaians.
