My dad breaks his back on my birthday and I do everything for a week. Months later we still wait on him, hand and foot. II'm okay with helping him, and I do, every day. I try to be a good daughter, I get good grades (straight A's) and I'm involved at school (maybe a little too much). I stay after school everyday, I only ask for rides home because my house is a mile away and I don't own a coat. Isn't that reasonable? I have academic team, a virtual reality program and I do stage crew in our plays & musicals. I'm tired when I come home but I can't rest because I have chores, I'll eat a light snack and do my chores(usually). But I was yelled at for eating, so I didn't eat dinner. No one else did either because my dad refused to cook (I get blamed for this). This morning I got yelled at for not eating breakfast(I skip breakfast every day). Tonight no one ate dinner either. But I made a snack and so did my siblings. I was going to start my homework but my dad started yelling. "Ungrateful children, never lifting a finger to help around the house I have to do everything! Won't even wash the dishes from the mess they've made!"(censored quote). So I washed the dishes, my dad was yelling at me the whole time I did. So when I was done I went downstairs, to the basement and did laundry. I came back up and did some homework. Then I get yelled at again to walk the dogs. Then I get lectured for being a b***h to my dad and not helping out, not pulling my weight. Oh and apparently I washed the laundry wrong, I'm getting yelled at as I type, HOORAY!!!
I'll just bite my tongue for now. Stay quiet, don't fight back and avoid confrontation.
