Hello, this is my first time on here...I can't believe it. Oh well...Here I go.
On October 26, my best friend who is Japanese asked me if I wanted to go to a Japanese Halloween Contest Convention. Of course I said yes. I don't think it was a convention but oh well. Not only that, but my mom lets me go. He also invited another friend too. He picked me up first then my our other friend. The Japanese Halloween Contest Convention was at Sac State. There were some participants. There was a girl dress from a videogame Soul Calibur, a Nobody from Spirited Away, a guy dress up as a hot sexy nurse, a cute guy as naruto, and couple others I don't remember. After that, one of the sensei gave a lecture how Japanese are famous for yokai or ghosts and what kinds there are. There were different names for each kind of yokai. Since Halloween was coming up, there was a horror movie called "One Miss Call." The movie was ok. There were too much suspense and some scary parts. I hate scary movies that you know something will pop out and you don't know when. Those scary scenes were sooo scary that I scream 3-4 times. The guy behind me was like "Shhh..." behind me. I couldn't help it. I'm not a scary kind of movie person. I'm like a drama, comedy, and especially action movie. If you watch the movie and you know about it, tell me what you think about the movie. Also, there is a sequel to that movie. If you have not watch it, I prefer you not to read anymore. Overall, I like the everything except that scary movie but the ending sucks. After the movie, the sensei tachi judged who was first prize to last prize. There were more than three participants. Each participants won a prize. And it was over. My best friend dropped my friend and I home. It was so much fun. It was fun except the movie.
****Spoilers for the people who want to and haven't watch the horror movie. If you don't want to watch it go right ahead.**** The movie was about a person's cell phone ringing and the number was from that owner's cell phone. There was a miss call because the person didn't pick their phone. That miss call was a message from the future when that person will die at a specific date and time. On the message, you can hear the owner's voice screaming. When that person dies, the person's cell phone's address will pick one person and will call from that friend's phone. Each time there was a call, the number is exactly from the person's number. Two of the main character's friend died. The guy's sister died and he tried to help the main character not to die. There were a lot of suspense and things jump out of nowhere. In the end, the main character and guy didn't die but lived...Awkward...Also a bad ending.
