Sometimes I wonder why I ever
Tried to find a guy for you that night
While all along, and in plain sight
One could see you would be my lover
It started off as just an affair
Not knowing how much you loved me
When one day, I abandoned you
I didn’t realize you really care
With that young shy one
I thought I ‘d be forever happy
True, that is, until she turned back on me
For a while, I thought that love for me was said and done
Then I came to you for comfort
And found better than what I had searched for
I had found one to love me to the end of time and more
With whom I knew I’d never be hurt
