A great book by all means. I mean as far as ficton about a dystopian society goes this one's my favorite(so far. I've yet to read 1984).
For some reason I really felt attatched to the character of Bernard. If you haven't read the book you'll have absolutely no clue what I'm talking about, but sometimes I look at the things people do and just don't understand why they do it. I feel isolated from society. It's nothing overwhelming but when Bernard talks about his disgust because people treat his sweetheart, Lenina, as just another piece of meat I can agree whole-heartedly.
For whatever reason I'd like to be more noble like John. I mean Bernard succumbs to the popularity he gets and even blows off Hemholtz for awhile(the only one who understood what he was going through) just to be popular. He didn't even earn real respect. John however stuck to his morals throughout the novel towards the bitter-end.
Anyway that's enough about that. Just sharing some thoughts about(in my opinion) quality literature.
