I was borderline obsessed with this book after I first read it when I was a freshman in high school at the urging of the former physics teacher, Mr. Macklem <s> who would also tease me incessantly (in good fun) when he'd come in and substitute teach later </s>. They're either going to make it amazing or its going to suck. You bet your a** I'll tear it apart when I get home from the theater. And anyone who goes with me needs to read the book so I can vent. I know the Ender-verse is substantial and there are like 15 books set in the universe, I doubt that they'll keep making the books in the Ender saga main line (Speaker of the Dead, Xenocide and Children of the Mind wink . After the first book, the tone of the whole series changes. Ender's Game can either be read as a stand alone novel or as the beginning of the Ender-verse. Ender's Game is always in my rec lists for books to read in order to understand me. It's in my "Three book/series I suggest you read before you die" Along with Abarat and Harry Potter. I love this book, hopefully I enjoy the movie. I will not be boycotting it just because I disagree with Orson Scott Card and his political views. I want to support the actors in it and I hope they make it to the best of their ability and that its as amazing as I want it to be.
