Chapter 5

Well we manged to dodge the police. It was a solid two days before we really ditched them. I think we were in....Jeez I really don't know. I'll have to check next time I'm in a gas station.

"Hey Phase what now?" Shade asked. Good god like I hadn't already heard that five thousand times!!!

"We're going to the sea" I said. Dunno why I chose the sea but something told me it would be a good idea.

"Okay Phase!" Flare said smiling. X-Ray smiled too nodding. Everyone did, even Rogue in his own way.

"Alright let's head out!" I said. I strapped on my blades and jumped to my feet. Our roller blades and a few back packs were all we had left. There was no way we could go back home. We could only keep going forward.

We all started riding out towards the town. The sky was dark with dozens of tiny stars in the sky and the giant orb that was the moon. It was strangely refreshing the wind againt my back. I felt I dunno free or something. Weird huh?

We went from the rural back drop of forest that we lived around to the nearby city. "Hey guys wanna do some street riding?" I asked. They nodded as I took the first jump. I landed on a house grinding off the rafters and shingles. I heard the others landing on the buildings behind me.

Now this is fun! We grinded back and forth from the gutters to the rooftops. This was our second passion. Our first was and always will be being theives. I heard the sound of falling tile and I turned. One of the tiles broke as Echo stepped on it. I smirked as I back flipped. Before she could even yelp I had grabbed her hand and brought her back onto level with us.

"Haha watch your step!" I said jumping and spinning retaking my place as leader. "Come on!" I yelled probally accidently waking up every one in town.

We were out of the state within the week and going toward Arizona. It got hot fast! We were down to short sleeved shirts and rolling up our pants legs. We were in a big a** dessert too. No town in any direction. We had to get new clothes when we got to the next town.

Right now we had made camp in the dessert with a fire going. Turns out it get's really cold at night. We ate our dinner silently with our thougnhts.

"Hey Phase quick question?" Shade said. I looked in his direction, blinked, rubbed my eyes then sighed. I forgot that Shade did that at night.

"What?" I asked half dredding the unasked question. He didn't get the question out before he was inturupeted by the sound of a motercycle. We all looked up as we were surronded by a motercycle gang. The guys on the bikes looked about twenty. Maybe a few years older.

"Hey you guys are on our turf" one said.

"Yeah and there's a toll" another said.

Great. Okay think on your feet time. "Hey we don't want any trouble. Plus we don't have any money" Okay we all know that's a lie.

"If you can't we gotta a problem" he said snapping a metal chain tight.

"Look we don't want any trouble" I said again but this time making eye contact with Flare. She smiled and nodded her eyes begining to glow. "But looks like you guys don't want to listen"

Before Flare had let off one of her sun spots as we called them one of the guys flew through the air. I looked at Flare but she shook her head. If it wasn't her then who? The bikers looked from their friend back to us.

"Now you guys are gonna get hurt" a guy growled reving his engine as he rode towards us. This guy got knocked away and this time we saw him. Or her. She had midnight blue hair that flew through the air. She had a denim jacket with the sleeves torn off. She had on jeans and her teeth had slight points to them. She looked a bit asian plus she had a nice a**.

She was like a force of nature as she completly took down the biker gang. In a matter of seconds the burly guys were groaning in pain. She was about to start walking off but I knew better.

"Hey!" I yelled. She stopped and turned her head to me. "Thanks for the help" I said.

"Don't mention it" she said flashing me a smile. I paused as I felt my cheeks warm up. Damn. It. I was already having these feelings again. I nodded and she walked then ran away disappering in a few seconds.

"Damn" Shade whispered. Me and Rogue chuckled a little. In the back of my head I could feel Echo sighing and shaking her head. I laughed anyway. I turned back to the band and motioned for them to follow me. We put on out blades and headed back on the road to the town.

And maybe our mystery saver.
